Thursday, February 15: 9pm with Z-Trip (djztrip.com)

Z-Trip's CD, "Shifting Gears" in stores now

Z-TRIP BIOGRAPHY:
DJ Z-Trip already had a few mixes out -- including one in the prestigious Future Primitive Soundsession series -- when his collaboration with DJ P, Uneasylistening, Vol. 1, showed up in 2001. The unorthodox mix made many music fans take notice, if only to puzzle over unlikely pairings like Del tha Funkee Homosapien with Phil Collins and Bruce Hornsby with Run-D.M.C. A native of Queens, NY, Z-Trip (born Zach Sciacca) spends much of his time touring and traveling, but has roots in Phoenix, AZ, where he's part of the Bombshelter Crew with DJ Radar. Shifting Gears from 2005 marked Z-Trip's major label debut. Released on Hollywood Records, the album featured guest artists Murs, Aceyalone, Chester Bennington, and Soup from the Jurassic 5.

Friday: February 16 - 9pm: Spundae's 14 Year Anniversary
with Blank & Jones (blankandjones.com)

Blank & Jones' new album, "The Singles," out now!
Blank & Jones' new album, "Relax: Edition Two," out this summer.

BLANK & JONES BIOGRAPHY:
Blank & Jones' deliberately simple dance music dominated the top of Germany's dance charts during the country's late-'90s trance explosion. After a chance meeting at the PopKomm music conference, one-time record clerk Piet Blank and Ratinger Hof's resident DJ Jaspa Jones formed the Blank & Jones production team to make broad trance records of the Aeon, Kai Tracid, DJ Manta, Darude, and Angelic variety. Met with consistent financial success as they laid the groundwork for their full-lengths, the band also won the respect of their peers, finding remix work for Fragma, Mauro Picotto, and Moby, as well as getting the chance to use Yello's Deiter Meir on their second album, 2001's Nightclubbing.

Saturday: February 17 - 8pm: Featuring Pure Behrouz (djbehrouz.com)

PURE BEHROUZ BIOGRAPHY:
San Francisco-based producer and DJ Behrouz, is difficult to label as he is like the music he creates and spins: a combination of really good music that can consist of deep house, tribal, a touch of electro, progressive and minimal techno. A veteran DJ recognized worldwide for his long running residency at San Francisco’s Release Club 1015, Behrouz is fast becoming a key player in the global dance music scene.

Over the course of his exciting career, Behrouz has traveled the world over playing alongside the industry’s top DJ’s including Deep Dish, Danny Tenaglia, John Digweed, Carl Cox and Pete Tong just to name a few. Furthermore, Tenaglia and Deep Dish named Behrouz “the DJ to watch” in DJ Magazine’s annual Top 100 DJ issue. Playing alongside Deep Dish and Danny Tenaglia in 2003, Behrouz was much-admired for his memorable set at Pacha Ibiza’s closing party. In addition, Behrouz was nominated for Best Breakthrough DJ at the 2004 Dancestar Awards held yearly in Miami during the Winter Music Conference, nominated for Best Breakthrough DJ at the 2004 DJ Awards in Ibiza and most recently Behrouz was nominated for Best Resident DJ at the 2005 Club World Awards for his famous Pure Behrouz residency at Ruby Skye in San Francisco.

Behrouz successfully completed touring for Yoshitoshi’s popular “In House We Trust” cd series, which received praise from both his peers and dance music publications. A prolific producer, Behrouz’s “Safe from Harm” remix was among 2002’s most popular tracks and his original production “Azab” is featured on Carl Cox’s compilation cd “Fact-Australia”. Moreover, his Yoshitoshi remix “Feel So Good” was featured on Deep Dish’s Global Underground 025 Toronto CD. Currently, Behrouz just completed a fantastic remix of Cuba Computer’s “Haunting Me” which is sure to become one of the best of 2005.
